The De La Salle University – Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) Chorale showcased exceptional artistry at the 2025 National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in the Senior Choir Category. This national event brought together the finest vocal ensembles in the country to compete at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila, an occasion often referred to as the “Olympics of Voices”.
At the conclusion of the Senior Choir competition, the DLSU-D Chorale was awarded 2nd Prize, alongside the Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble. Notably, the DLSU-D team also received a special distinction for the Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece. No First Prize was awarded in this category this year, emphasizing the high standards and intense competition at NAMCYA 2025. Other notable winners included the MSU–IIT Octava Choral Society, which took home the 3rd Prize.
NAMCYA’s Senior Choir Category is a highlight of the national competition, attracting the best choirs from across the Philippines. The event, held in the iconic Metropolitan Theater, is a national celebration of vocal harmony and choral excellence, where ensembles compete not only for awards but also for the honor of representing the pinnacle of youth musical talent in the country.
