DLSU-D hosts the 2nd CALABARZON Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Volunteers' Summit, gathering disaster response advocates, volunteer groups, and partner organizations from across the region for a day of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.
Held in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense CALABARZON, La Salle Brothers, Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR) Cavite Chapter, and other key stakeholders, the summit builds on the success of its first installment.
The event aims to strengthen disaster preparedness, foster community engagement, and advance the collective mission of building safer, more resilient communities.
The program featured a keynote address by OCD IV-A Regional Director and RDRRMC Chair, Carlos Eduardo E. Alvarez III, who introduced key concepts in Philippine DRRM. Breakout sessions also allowed participants to exchange insights and explore shared interests in disaster response.
