Ricardo Carramiñana, Founder and Chairman of the Escuela de Ingeniería y Arquitectura (EADIC) in Spain, visited DLSU-D to deliver a lecture.
In his talk, “Digital Foundations: Why BIM Matters in Modern Design and Construction,” he introduced architecture students to Building Information Modeling (BIM), emphasizing its role in improving efficiency, minimizing errors, and fostering collaboration in construction projects. He encouraged students to prepare for a digital-first industry driven by innovation.
Carramiñana also shared EADIC’s initiatives on postgraduate programs, student exchanges, and specialized training in BIM, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.
During his visit, he met with Provost Dr. Christian George C. Francisco, Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations Dr. Nornelyn Cachuela, and other academic leaders to discuss opportunities for bridging academic learning with industry practice.
