De La Salle University-Dasmarinas (DLSU-D) formalized its partnership with Japanese company GYXUS to embark on a study to determine how the Philippines manages its gypsum board waste.
The research, entitled “Preliminary Assessment of Gypsum Board Recycling in the Philippines: Environmental Impact, Waste Management Landscape, and Traceability Framework” will be conducted by College of Professional and Graduate Studies Vice Dean Dr. Leo Manansala, Arch. Antonio Gutierrez, and Mr. Eric Vargas.
A Memorandum of Agreement was signed by DLSU-D and GYXUS last September 20 at Hotel Rafael. DLSU-D was represented by University Provost Dr. Christian George Francisco while GYXUS was represented by its president and CEO Tomitaro Hirata.
The researchers also signed a contract with the University Research Office (URO) as part of their commitment to complete and present their research findings.
