De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) has welcomed Monk Namgay Tenzin and Monk Sonam Tenzin as visiting scholars and art conservation apprentices at the DLSU-D Conservation Studio. The program will run from September 1 to November 30, 2025.
Funded by the Druk Foundation for Art Preservation, this three-month initiative is designed to provide the scholars with hands-on experience in restoring artworks on paper and wood, with a special emphasis on Buddhist and traditional art conservation.
The monks will be mentored by Master Art Conservator Ephraim Jose through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and practical conservation work.
