The Museo De La Salle (MDLS) in partnership with the Languages and Literature Department, recently held POESIA 2025 as part of the Buwan ng Wika celebration under the leadership of Jasmin Medellin.
This year’s program showcased the richness of regional literature from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, presented through dramatic readings by administrators, faculty, and staff representatives. The event also featured musical performances of Original Pilipino Music by Paul and Lanie Alaman, Zienin Harriet Napod, and Adornado Jordan.
During the event, Teatro Lasalliana performed their adaptation of Himala by Ricky Lee, directed by award-winning director and tenor Nazer Salcedo. While the invocation and messages from Mr. Raymond Ibasco, chair of the Department of Languages and Literature, and Ms. Mary Ann Salvador, director of Museo De La Salle, were delivered in a theatrical style.
Guided by hosts Professors Jennifer Arroyo and Christopher Gabriel, the program brought together literature, music, and performing arts in a celebration of the Filipino language and culture.
