Laurence Willian Reyes, a first-year BS Electronics Engineering student from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, won 1st Runner-up at the 29th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Calabarzon Regional Championships held on November 6, 2025, at Solano Hotel, Lipa City.
The competition, organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Calabarzon, gathered 25 participants from 20 schools, who showcased their statistical and analytical skills through three rounds of 10 questions each.
Reyes achieved an impressive score of 27 out of 40, earning him the 1st Runner-up title. He was coached by Mr. Marvin M. Vivar, a faculty member from the Mathematics and Statistics Department under the College of Science.
Prior to this, Reyes also placed 1st Runner-up in the PSQ regional eliminations, which qualified him to represent DLSU-D at the regional championships.
This accomplishment reflects the university’s continuous dedication to academic excellence and holistic formation.
