The Philippine Association of Research Managers – Empowering Leaders for Integrity-Driven Training and Excellence in Research Management (PHILARM-ELITE) 2026 officially began its three-day program at the Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez Reception Hall of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) just recently.
The event brought together representatives from higher education institutions and the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) from different regions across the country. The gathering focuses on strengthening research management practices and advancing organizational development in the academic and research sectors.
The program opened with welcome remarks from University Provost Dr. Christian George C. Francisco, who welcomed the delegates and emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting research excellence and integrity.
This was followed by opening messages from Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, National President of PHILARM and President of Marinduque State University, and Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, Executive Director of DOST-PCAARRD.
The first day of the training featured Prof. Carl Abelardo T. Antonio as resource speaker, who began the discussion on research governance and ethics, highlighting the role of responsible research practices in advancing academic and scientific development.
As the training progresses, PHILARM ELITE 2026 continues to provide a venue for research leaders and administrators to deepen their expertise, exchange insights, and strengthen networks that support ethical, innovative, and impactful research initiatives in the country’s higher education and research institutions.
