De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), through its Lasallian Community Development Center, has partnered with Caritas Diocese of Imus Foundation, Inc. to launch a donation drive aimed at supporting thousands of fisherfolk affected by rising fuel prices in Cavite.
With more than 20,000 fisherfolk in Cavite alone impacted, many are now unable to afford fuel for their boats, forcing them to stay ashore and cutting off their primary source of income. When fisherfolk cannot fish, entire families and communities suffer.
The initiative seeks to address this urgent need by providing both financial assistance and essential goods, enabling families to sustain their daily needs and helping fisherfolk return to the sea.
