Students and alumni of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), as well as outsider guests, came together for “Larga Lasalyano: Tour de La Salle,” a bike-for-a-cause event supporting education and sustainability initiatives, organized by the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office (AARO).
The activity united the Lasallian community as participants cycled across campus grounds to raise funds for the university’s scholarship program and the La Salle Botanical Gardens. The fundraising cause highlighted a shared commitment to accessible education and environmental stewardship, turning a simple cycling event into a meaningful collective effort.
The event was also supported by Undersecretary Nicolas Torre III of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), who attended alongside bike enforcers and emphasized the importance of road safety for cyclists.
Content creators including Gimeno TV, Ride with Bea, and Ron Moreno joined the initiative, while Frederick Agustin of The Amazing Raise returned to the university to take part in the ride.
The event also featured a Safety Brief by alumni Mr. Rafael Moreno, a Bike Seminar on Ride Safety Maintenance with Mr. Mark Lara, a DLSU-D Alumnus and Decathlon Representative, and a performance from Mr. Wyethh Kyle Lumang, a BIT student who also composed the official Larga Lasalyano jingle.
Organized in partnership with key university offices and sectors, “Larga Lasalyano” forms part of the ongoing Lasallian Mission Festival, bringing together advocacy, community, and action in one purposeful ride.
