The La Salle Barangay Leadership and Governance Academy (LS BALANGAY) formally launched the Executive Course on Barangay Leadership for Strategic and Sustainable Development (B-LESSED) at the Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez, De La Salle University–Dasmariñas.
The inaugural session brought together barangay officials from Cavite and Laguna for a series of learning activities designed to strengthen local leadership and governance. The opening lectures on Sustainable Leadership and Transformational Leadership were facilitated by Rommel Mazo, Director of the School of Governance of DLSU-D, and Jay Beltran, Provincial Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Laguna.
As part of the workshop, participants identified key issues affecting their communities, including waste management, peace and order, and stray animal concerns. They also developed visions for improved barangay governance and discussed practical strategies to achieve sustainable community development.
The B-LESSED program will run every Saturday until July 11, 2026, equipping barangay leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to drive meaningful and lasting transformation in their communities.
