De La Salle University–Dasmariñas held Gawad Sinag 2026: The DLSU-D Employee Recognition Gala marking a historic first as faculty and staff were recognized together in one inclusive celebration.
Organized by the Human Resource Management Office and the Employee Recognition 2026 Committee, the event united Gawad Tala and Gawad Sinag, honoring excellence, dedication, and service across all sectors of the University.
In his message, University President Br. Iñigo Riola, FSC emphasized that excellence is lived daily, noting that “excellence is not limited to big achievements—it is seen in consistency, responsibility, care for others, and in doing one’s work well.”
He further described the Lasallian community as more than a workplace, reminding everyone that “we are not just employees, faculty, and staff; we are vision partners and partners in mission.”
Adding a personal note to the celebration, Ms. Relyn Antenor‑Cruz, a 30‑Year Service Awardee, shared a message reflecting her journey of perseverance, gratitude, and faithful service to the Lasallian mission.
The gala recognized outstanding contributions in Good Attendance, Volunteer Work, Years of Service, Outstanding Performance, and excellence in instruction, research, service, and administration, affirming the vital role each employee plays in transforming lives.
Special Recognition: Juan Medrano Award
One of the highlights of the evening was the conferral of the Special Award from De La Salle Philippines – the Juan Medrano Award, given to employees whose service exemplifies exceptional commitment to the Lasallian mission. This prestigious recognition honored the following awardees:
