De La Salle University–Dasmariñas recently welcomed the leadership of the Sisters of Social Service (SSS) in a visit that celebrated the shared commitment to service and social transformation.
The delegation, led by Sr. Marybeth Larkins, SSS, General Director, met with University President Br. Iñigo Riola FSC to discuss the congregation’s mission and to express gratitude for opportunities to collaborate in ministry.
The visit was particularly meaningful as it recognized the contributions of Sr. Sonia Delima, SSS, a social worker at DLSU-D’s Bahay Pag-asa, who accompanied youth in conflict with the law. The Sisters expressed pride in her dedication, highlighting her compassionate and professional engagement in this vital ministry.
Founded in 1923, the Sisters of Social Service are a Catholic religious congregation devoted to serving marginalized individuals and communities. Their work emphasizes human dignity, justice, and common good, through both direct service and advocacy.
This event reinforced the shared vision of DLSU-D and the Sisters of Social Service to foster social responsibility and support communities most in need.
