Lasaliksik is a peer-reviewed journal published by the University Research Office of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) and serves as the University’s official publication for Science and Mathematics. The title of the journal highlights the Filipino word “saliksik” which translates to “to search/ research” and thus the journal’s goal of disseminating newly discovered knowledge as well as developments and extended results of scientific studies. More importantly, the journal aims to provide an academic platform for researchers to share their scholarly works and research endeavors in various disciplines of science and mathematics, both pure and applied.
Lasaliksik accepts original full articles, expository studies, research notes, review articles and perspectives for review and releases one volume per year having two issues.
The editorial board shall be responsible to all the materials submitted by authors. The board shall govern the publication in accordance with this code.
Lasaliksik provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Copyrights for articles are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. Authors have the rights to reuse, republish, archive, and distribute their own articles after publication. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work.
Submission of a paper in Lasaliksik will be taken to imply that it presents original unpublished work, not under consideration elsewhere. A copyright assignment form will be sent to the author/s of accepted papers. This publishing agreement should be completed and returned within 5 days.
Lasaliksik policy prohibits an author from submitting the same manuscript for concurrent consideration by two or more publications. It prohibits as well publication of any manuscript that has already been published either in whole or substantial part elsewhere. It also does not permit publication of manuscript that has been published in full in Proceedings of conferences, seminars and the likes.
Lasaliksik articles follow the IMRAD (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and, Discussion) format. It is simply a more ‘defined’ version of the "IBC" [Introduction, Body, and Conclusion] format used in most academic articles. IMRAD indicates a pattern or format rather than a complete list of headings or components of the articles in Lasaliksik.”
Lasaliksik’s abstracting and indexing services provide and store information about the articles. The Journal’s website assures the availability and accessibility of articles for the scientific community and its various stakeholders.
Authors may archive the published version of their articles in both personal and institutional repositories after publication.
Lasaliksik accepts papers all year round and releases its publications twice a year, every June and December.
Special issues are also released.
Lasaliksik is published through the University Research Office of De La Salle University – Dasmarinas which believes that scientific findings must be shared to the community to further academic discourses and research. Thus, Lasaliksik does not charge any publication fees from its contributors.
