De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) recently welcomed nearly a hundred Marist Brothers for cultural immersion, reflection, and fellowship.
The Marist Brothers, founded in 1817 by St. Marcellin Champagnat in France, are a global Catholic religious congregation dedicated to the Christian education of young people, especially those most in need. Their mission closely resonates with the Lasallian tradition of faith, service, and community.
The program featured messages from Dr. Christian George Francisco, Provost of DLSU-D, and Br. Peter Carroll the newly elected Superior General of the Marist Brothers, all emphasizing shared values in education and mission.
“We hope to see you again in future engagements and collaborations,” Dr. Francisco said, expressing confidence that this visit will open more opportunities for partnership with the Marist Brothers.
Highlights included a guided Museo De La Salle tour, Mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, a procession to Aklatan Emilio Aguinaldo, and a Merienda Cena at the ADG Reception Hall.
