The Campus Sustainability Office (CSO) of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas has launched a new initiative with the construction of a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) to enhance the university’s water management and environmental stewardship.
CSO Director Geraldine C. Zamora, MEd, together with the Building and Facilities Management Office (BFMO), recently met with the project contractor to commence the development
The STP will employ advanced treatment processes to recycle wastewater for non-potable uses such as irrigation and flushing systems. This eco-friendly infrastructure is expected to significantly reduce water consumption and minimize the campus’ environmental footprint.
Aligned with the university’s Green Program and Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, the project reflects DLSU-D’s commitment to sustainable practices and the call to “care for our common home.”
