De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) recently met with the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IV-A at the DLSU-D School of Governance, to plan the training design for a collaborative program on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms under the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) Law.
The meeting focused on aligning the program framework, objectives, and implementation plans for the upcoming training, which will be offered by the DLSU-D School of Governance. The initiative aims to strengthen community-level dispute resolution by equipping local leaders and stakeholders with practical knowledge of ADR processes under the KP Law.
Present at the meeting were representatives from the partner institutions, led by Reinalyne Vidallon-Varias, Director III of the OADR Training, Accreditation, and Promotion Service (TAPS); Jay Beltran, Provincial Director of DILG IV-A; Atty. Dennis Maldo, Vice Dean of the DLSU-D College of Law; and Dr. Rommel Mazo, Director of the DLSU-D School of Governance, Public Service, and Corporate Leadership.
The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of OADR, DILG IV-A, and DLSU-D to promote accessible justice and effective dispute resolution mechanisms at the barangay level, with the training program set to be launched in the coming months.
