De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) is charting new skies for its students through a pioneering partnership with the First Aviation Academy (FAA) in Subic.
Students from the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, will now be eligible to train as pilots while completing their required on-the-job training credits.
University administrators recently conducted an ocular visit at FAA’s state-of-the-art training facilities, meeting with academy leaders and instructors who will guide students in their first steps toward flying an aircraft.
The First Flight Program
The highlight of this collaboration is the First Flight Program, designed to give students a structured and immersive introduction to aviation. The program includes:
- 130 hours ground schooling for aviation fundamentals
- 5 hours simulator training to sharpen technical skills
- 1 hour actual flight for hands-on experience
- Student Pilot License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines
