De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) recently met with representatives from PTC Aviation and First Aviation Academy (FAA) to explore potential multi-disciplinary career pathways for students across various colleges.
PTC Aviation and FAA General Manager Mr. Rodolfo Dino Z. Santos, together with Mr. Richard Tanglao, Sales and Marketing Manager for Aviation at PTC Holdings, engaged in discussions with the University’s College Deans to identify collaborative opportunities that bridge academic preparation with industry experience.
Located in Subic Bay, First Aviation Academy is recognized as a premier flight training center known for its elite pilot cadetship program and state-of-the-art Tecnam fleet. Beyond flight training, the academy also envisions offering students a more holistic exposure to the aviation industry through a structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.
The proposed initiative would open hands-on learning opportunities for students from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA), College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT), College of Liberal Arts and Communication (CLAC), and College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM). Potential areas of exposure include aircraft maintenance support, aviation logistics, corporate communications, and premium guest services.
The meeting reflects DLSU-D’s continued efforts to expand industry partnerships and provide students with career pathways that extend beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries.
