Senior High School students of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas experience firsthand the challenges of doing business as they participate in the week-long Entrep Bazaar held at Robinsons Imus. The event seeks to tap into SHS students’ creativity and business savvy by encouraging them to set up their own stalls at the mall.
“Some are asking why such magnitude, preparation, duration and location for an activity "just for Senior High". The simplest explanation is this: in La Salle, we develop our students to be agents of change - to become individuals who will make a difference. We train them not just to become workers, employees or professionals working in a company. We are developing innovators, game changers and creators of their own field. If they become engineers, for example, we want them to create their own product, package it, manage it and market it. By doing so, they will contribute significantly to the country,” SHS Asst. Director Marlon Pareja said. “By doing this activity, we provide our students the conditions to collaborate through various circumstances: from product development to production to marketing. From business plan to inventory to accounting to resource management. Set in real-life conditions with real clients and stakeholders. Developing important skills in the process.”
Pareja also credited Robinsons Land Corporation for providing the students space and their malls, and for sponsoring a student orientation on financial literacy by providing valuable inputs during product demonstration.
