As part of its thrust to become a research-oriented high school, the DLSU-D Senior High School (SHS) conducted its first Lasallian Senior High School Research Conference last March 15, 2019. With the theme "Create. Innovate. Collaborate," the conference is a platform for the SHS Grade 12 students to present their researches to Grade 11 students in the form of plenary and parallel sessions.
“Research is transformative. It teaches knowledge, skills and values to the student that the student will not be able to immediately learn inside the classroom. From brainstorming a topic that has community impact, reading literatures and sources, writing the paper up to doing the methodology, presenting the results and defending your arguments and conclusions to a panel or an audience and publishing, it imbibes a lot of skills and values to the student,” SHS Asst. Director Marlon Pareja explained about the event.
The activity also witnessed the launching of the St. Benilde Romancon FSC Student Research Grant and Answers as the research journal of the DLSU-D Senior High School.
