
The Academic Planning and Quality Management Office operates under the Office of the Provost. It oversees academic planning processes, and the development and continuous improvement of the university’s academic programs and support services. It ensures that teaching, learning, and research meet the required standards through regular evaluation and accreditation processes.
By supporting the academic departments and monitoring performance, the office contributes to the overall excellence and reputation of the institution. Together with the Herminia D. Torres Quality Assurance Office, it has the following roles and responsibilities:
- Quality assurance: The office monitors and evaluates the quality of teaching, learning, and academic services to ensure they meet required standards.
- Accreditation support: The office assists in understanding quality standards and criteria, preparing self-assessment reports, and meeting criteria needed for academic programs to get accredited by external quality assurance agencies.
- Data analysis: The office collects and analyzes data related to student performance, program effectiveness, and other academic metrics to guide decision-making.
- Policy implementation: The office ensures that academic policies and procedures are followed across the institution
- Supporting academic departments: The office provides resources and guidance to academic units to help them deliver high-quality education.
- Monitoring performance: The office monitors the performance of academic programs and services to identify areas for improvement.
