Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd)
The BECEd program intends to produce passionate, creative and competent early childhood teachers equipped with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of early childhood care and education, as well as experiences in the application of these principles. It aims to educate learners to be excellent, God loving and service-oriented early childhood practitioners working with children from 0-8 years old in various early childhood settings (home, community and workplace). The program is designed to prepare students for teaching and supporting young children’s development.
Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd)
The BSNED program prepares well-rounded professional educators imbued with Lasallian values who will instruct and manage the students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings. It aims to equip its graduates with the content and pedagogy necessary to teach the basic education curriculum and alternate curricula depending on the needs of the students. The program is designed to prepare students to work as special education teachers/ therapists/ clinicians/ tutors/intervention specialists/behavior coaches in schools/centers/clinics/home/community-based educational settings.
Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE)
The BSE program intends to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach their chosen major in the secondary level. It aims to develop highly–motivated, competent, steeped in Lasallian values and equipped with 21st century skills teachers specializing in content and pedagogy for secondary education.
Certificate in Teaching Program (CTP)
The Certificate in Teaching Program (CTP) is one of the programs offered in the College of Education under the Professional Education Department. This program consists of 18 units of professional education courses that will be taken by graduates of non-education degrees to qualify for the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
Certificate in Teaching Religious Education
The Certificate in Teaching Religious Education is a two-summer modular program offered by the Religious Education Department. It provides an integrated formation grounded in Sacred Scripture and Church documents, focusing on the theories and principles of teaching, learning, and evangelization in Religious Education. Courses completed under this program may be credited toward an associate or undergraduate degree in Religious Education.
Certificate in Teaching Values Education
This certificate program is designed for both aspiring and current values educators. It aims to foster personal development and professional competence in teaching values education. Participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to teach values education across all educational levels, preparing them for their ministry in the schooland community setting.
Online Certificate in Early Childhood Education
The certificate in Teaching Early Childhood Learners – Basic Course:
- Acquire solid and substantial knowledge on child growth and development by exploring the universal processes children go through as they grow and develop in their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive aspects
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the importance of preschool counseling and classroom management by identifying effective ways to manage the behaviors of early childhood learners, especially those with learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and other exceptionalities.
Online Certificate in Sign Language
The certificate in Teaching Early Childhood Learners – Advanced Course:
- Introduce the culture and community of the deaf and hard of hearing;
- Provide participants with a strong foundation in basic sign language vocabulary and grammar;
- Improve the communication abilities of those with limited verbal skills through the use of sign language; and
- Apply sign language in practical contexts, such as at home, in daily living, and in educational settings.
