Members of the Lasallian community gathered at the University Chapel for a prayer service titled “Lasallians Pray for Peace with Songs of Taizé,” offering prayers for peace and strength amid the challenges faced by communities around the world.
The gathering invited participants to reflect on the realities of conflict and uncertainty, particularly the ongoing war in the Middle East. Through moments of prayer and contemplation, Lasallians expressed solidarity with those affected by violence and prayed for the grace to overcome difficulties faced by their communities, the nation, and the global community.
The prayer experience centered on the meditative Songs of Taizé, known for their repetitive chants and reflective atmosphere that encourage silence, contemplation, and spiritual encounter. Through these songs, participants were invited to experience the peace that comes from Christ and to entrust their burdens to God.
The event also provided a moment of spiritual support for students preparing for their upcoming midterm examinations. Amid academic pressures and personal challenges, the gathering reminded young Lasallians that moments of stillness, prayer, and faith can offer comfort and renewed strength.
Through initiatives such as this prayer gathering, the University continues to foster spiritual formation and a sense of community rooted in compassion, faith, and hope.
