DLSU-D is Most Sustainable Philippine University for 11th straight year

De La Salle University-Dasmarinas retained its title as the Most Sustainable Philippine University in the UIGM World University Rankings for the 11th year in a row.

DLSU-D led the list of 22 Philippine schools that made it to the Greenmetric ranking which includes Mariano Marcos State University, Batangas State University, National Engineering University, De La Salle University Manila, University of Northern Philippines, Samar State University, Tarlac Agricultural University, Catanduanes State University, Bukidnon State University, West Visayas State University, Xavier University, Ateneo De Cagayan, Saint Louis University, Bulacan State University, Ateneo de Davao University, Bataan Peninsula State University, Mindanao State University, Iligan Institute of Technology, Manila Central University, Panpacific University, Central Philippines State University (CPSU), Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, Ifugao State University, and University of Eastern Philippines.

On a global scale, DLSU-D jumped to the 230th rank from last year’s 274th position.

“This new recognition is a result of the collective commitment and effort of the DLSU-D community to practice environmental sustainability in every aspect our operations.

This year, we were able to support our sustainability initiatives even more as we revisited and crafted policies and programs on solid waste and water management. We have also partnered with like minded organizations, both local and global to advance our sustainability agenda. Even our students are prioritizing endeavors that are consistent and supportive of the Sustainability Development Goals of the UN. This is a shared accomplishment and we will seek to do even more for environmental sustainability, moving forward.” Dr. Nathaniel Golla, Office of the Vice President for Administrative Services, said.
