
DLSU-D will launch the Executive Course on Barangay Governance for Resilient Environment (B-GREEN) on August 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the Reception Hall, Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez Building.
B-GREEN aims to empower Barangay Officials and Sangguniang Kabataan Leaders to champion participatory governance, climate action, and environmental resilience.
This initiative is led by Master in Sustainable Leadership and Governance students of the School of Governance, Public Service & Corporate Leadership (SGPSCL) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IV-A and other institutions.
Guest of honor Sen. Loren Legarda, a leading advocate for climate action and environmental protection, will be joined by keynote speakers:
- Atty. Izza Mari D. Laurio, Director III, National Barangay Operations Office, DILG Central Office
- Reyan Derrick C. Marquez, LLB, MPM, Chief, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division, Office of Civil Defense – CALABARZON
- RED Nilo B. Tamoria, Regional Executive Director, DENR – CALABARZON
- Dr. Voltaire Guadalupe, MPH, MAHPS, OIC – Director III, DOH – Center for Health Development CALABARZON
Their talks will highlight barangay-led sustainability, resilience, and community well-being, reflecting the university’s unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable development.
