DLSU-D formally held the soft opening of the newly renovated Purificacion Borromeo Hall (formerly the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management [CTHM] Building) on August 14, 2025.
The ceremony began with a blessing led by Rev. Fr. Reinier Dumaop, attended by key university administrators, CTHM faculty, and student leaders. Among those present were Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Sonia Gementiza, University Provost, Dr. Christian George Francisco, and Br. President Iñigo Riola, FSC.
In his message, CTHM Dean, Paul Anthony Notorio expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the building’s completion.
“Sa lahat po ng mga tumulong, nagtulong-tulong para maging realization ito—this is it na po talaga. Thank you very much po sa lahat,” Notorio said.
The event concluded with a simple gathering inside the renovated facility, marking a renewed commitment to providing a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment for the CTHM community.
