The Master of Engineering major in Civil Engineering involves the application of the knowledge of mathematics, principles of science and technology to the planning, analysis, design and construction of all types of private and public works.
It is a big challenge to the civil engineer profession to provide engineering and technical services efficiently by developing sustainable civil work structures such as buildings, dams, highways, railways, ports/harbors, airports, terminals, transit stations, bridges, tunnels, waterways and sewerage systems among others.
This program focuses in both advanced theoretical and practical application in different areas of civil engineering discipline such as structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering and construction management engineering. Graduates of this program shall develop a higher degree of competence in their acquired technical and leadership skills and will often act as team leaders, construction managers, design engineers, engineering consultants, professorial lecturers and government administrators.

- He is a BS Civil Engineering graduate. Applicant may choose from four (4) available tracks being offered by the College - Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Construction Management Engineering.
- Non BS Civil Engineering (or BS Environmental and Sanitary Engineering) graduate is required to take fifteen (15) units of bridging courses/professional subjects related to Water Resource Engineering and may only enroll the Water Resource Engineering Track.
- He must have at least one (1) year industry / working experience in his field of study.
- He must have an undergraduate general average of 1.75 or 80 %.
- Applicants having a general average below 1.75 or 80% may be admitted provided that ,
- A score of AVERAGE or higher shall be obtained in the Overall IQ Test administered by the University and
- Upon the GS Director or Dean's approval, he is on PROBATIONARY status and required to maintain a grade of 3.0 in all subjects taken.
- He must pass the Admissions entrance examination to be administered by the university and interview conducted by GS Director or Dean.

Reminders:
- Submit the following documents in two (2) sets (for CEAT GS Office and Admissions Office).

- Foreign applicants should submit a photocopy of the official receipt of payment of foreign student's fee.
- Applicants who will take the entrance examination must present the receipt to the Student Admissions Office.
- Foreign applicants must pass the English Proficiency Test.
A graduate student is considered excluded from the program if he/she
- has not renewed his/her LOA for a year
- fails to complete three (3) or more IN PROGRESS (IP) or No Credit subjects, or
- fails to achieve the minimum passing grade in three (3) subjects.
